Not gambling, financial or professional advice
PuckMetrics presents hockey statistics, model predictions, win probabilities, market comparisons and fantasy rankings to help you understand the game. None of it is a recommendation to place a bet, wager money, or make any financial decision. Nothing on the site is a “sure thing”, “lock” or guaranteed outcome.
Where we show sportsbook odds or the gap between our model and the market, it is there to explain how the model compares with public expectations — not to tell you what to bet on.
Predictions are probabilities, not promises
Our predictions come from statistical and machine-learning models trained on past games. A 65% win probability means the model expects that team to lose roughly one in three similar games. Models are wrong regularly, especially with late lineup changes, injuries, goaltending decisions or small samples. Past model accuracy does not guarantee future accuracy.
Data can be late or wrong
Statistics, injury reports, odds, news and contract data come from third parties and are refreshed on a schedule, so they can be delayed, incomplete or incorrect. Injury timelines and “projected return” figures are estimates — they are not medical information. AI-generated analysis can contain mistakes. See the data sources section of our Terms for exactly where the data comes from.
No affiliation with the NHL
PuckMetrics is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Hockey League, its teams, the NHLPA, or any sportsbook or news outlet shown on the site. NHL, team names, logos and marks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
